What the Legion does
Comradeship that does something
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919. Post 113 carries that work forward on State Street, one neighbor at a time.
Veterans
Fellowship, advocacy and a place to talk with people who understand service. Peer support matters, and so does a friendly face at the door.
Families
Spouses, children and survivors of those who served are part of the Legion family. The Post helps families find resources and connection.
Youth
The Legion backs American Legion Baseball, Boys Nation and the Oratorical Contest, programs that build sportsmanship and leadership.
Community
Post 113 supports Granite City through events, remembrance and local giving, and opens its hall to neighbors for celebrations.
Honor roll
Every name has a story
Families can honor a local veteran on the Post's honor roll. It takes a few minutes and a little permission.
